Artist Statement

During the long uninterrupted hours of the pandemic, I eventually came to accept, and appreciate, the limitations of making do with what I had on hand. Creatively, I challenged myself to mine existing photo materials to produce something new. These photo collages are comprised from pieces of old test prints that had been laying around my studio for years. Hovering between representation and abstraction, there is room for viewer interpretation and space to be neither right nor wrong.
