When Mud is Slung, Daisies Grow examines the language used to label and diminish women across a lifetime. Paint chip colors bearing names such as Sensitive, Likable, Obstinate, and Emotional appear within black-and-white Polaroid images of daisies, forming a series of duotone combinations.

The ten images submitted are part of a larger composite Polaroid mosaic, accumulating into a dense, colorful field of flowers. The daisies recur throughout, common and resilient.
