Sons (Summer 2025) chronicles my children over a five week period in the summer of 2025. I spontaneously photographed them at play, fighting, celebrating grade school graduation, and quiet moments together and alone. This ongoing project is not so much about my sons inasmuch as it's about me. A photographer I admire said that photography isn't about making nice pictures, it's about seeing your experience. I photograph because it helps me understand who I am and my relationship to the moments my camera captures. I focus on my sons because what other subject better reflects me?
