Love, Jim is an ongoing project that was born from the necessity for familial connection. These images show the process of the artist rebuilding a relationship with his grandparents after a decade of minimal contact.

My work is rooted in my relationships. Photographing friends, partners, and family has always been central to my practice and helps keep me grounded and introspective. As I move forward with this project I will be examining familial trauma, the role of family member and observer, and the cycle of rupture and mending.
