Artist Statement
Hypersphere Transitions of 3D objects into 4D
During the COVID pandemic, my project to document the Parthenon in 3D on-top of the Acropolis of Athena, Greece, was cancelled.
Determined to continue research projects in my studio-lab, I experimented in capturing light off the reflective surface/screen of an n-sphere, a 4D hypersphere nicknamed “The Gadget”. By creating a 360-degree mirror surface inside of the hypersphere, objects were rendered in the 4th dimension.
Sculptures of art, as well as, mythic deities, acquired during prior travels to Europe, were photographed in 4D with “The Gadget”. Fun
