First Thursday Opening: Feb 1, 5 - 8 PM

Zoom Artist Talk: Thu, Feb 22, 12 PM (PT)

The isolation of the pandemic gave Sage Sohier time to revisit her archive of negatives and contact sheets, where she  discovered a number of interesting images that  were never printed. Passing Time is a series of photographs, spanning from 1979 to 1985, a pre-digital, largely un-air-conditioned era, when people fled the heat of their houses to hang out in their yards and on the street. Time moved more slowly; restlessness led to spontaneous play.  Sohier noticed a kind of relaxed sensuality in many of the pictures, ultimately collating a testament to the value of idle time for community gatherings, childhood imagination, solitude, and photography itself.

Feb 1 - Mar 2, 2024

First Thursday Opening: Feb 1, 5 - 8 PM

In-Person Artist Talk: Thu, Feb 1, 6 PM

Terra Fondriest’s Ozark Life weaves together the story of her family and surrounding community’s relationship with the land and the roots they have on it, which grow deeper with every generation. From her perspective as a mother raising two children there, she strives to give an intimate view into the everyday steady cadence to life in the Arkansas Ozarks and lay a bridge for understanding the rural way of life in present-day America.
