Cecilia Arboleda’s series, “Rememberings,” also touches on places lost, but through interior environment portraits. Quiet stories are told through her poetic and carefully composed images. Alison Nordstrom wrote of her work, “Photography and its traditions have long concerned themselves with place…While Arboleda’s images may communicate the look and feel of the small, lost villages of many Latin American countries, these photographs are more part of other practices. They are about autobiography, memoir, and personal narrative.”
