Portland, Oregon
In spring of 2024, I began exploring the inner lakes and waterways of the Sauvie Island Wildlife Area, in Portland, Oregon, looking to capture its’ landscapes on film. These wetlands provide wide open and natural spaces where the sunlight, skies, water and land create a unique visual display. This series represents the places I found where the landscapes offer space and breath and wherever possible, distance. Guided by light and it’s changing qualities throughout the year and seasons, I attempted to capture each landscape truthfully, and thereby offer the viewer a window with which to experience these beautiful places for themselves.
