Christina Rouse
Boise, Idaho
I feel most inspired to shoot when I’m documenting new, unfamiliar places, but the reality is that most of the time I am operating in a small area of Boise, Idaho. These images were created within about a half-mile of where I live. They are a collection of everyday moments close to home, whether taken in my backyard or while walking around my neighborhood. I made them as a challenge to myself to find something worth seeing no matter where I am and to recognize that every place has its distinguishing marks. My neighborhood is unpolished, a bit charming, and full of rabbits that were once pets, but now roam free.
