Melissa Rackham

Artist Bio

A photographer, educator and fine artist based in Spokane, WA, Melissa fell in love with photography using a Fisher Price 110 camera as a child. Changing career paths within the medium allowed her to experience various genres of photography, from photojournalism to studio and fine art, influencing what she creates today.

Currently in her 17th year of teaching photography at Spokane Falls Community College and 4th year at Whitworth University, Melissa is also the new Photography Gallery Director at SFCC. She taught at the University of Memphis, the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and currently exhibits work nationally and internationally.
