Geri H. Mathewson
Artist Statement
Photography serves as my meditation, connecting me to the world I see and the people in it. I constantly seek interesting light, lines, color relationships, movement and emotions, even when my camera is not in hand. I strive to tell stories through images, inviting viewers to engage and reflect. My work often incorporates compositing and blending textures, as these elements can profoundly transform the atmosphere of a piece, enhancing its emotional impact.
