Artist Statement

Portland was a West Coast town that time forgot--and then it got found in a hurry. Having lived here for three decades, I lose sight of what my first impressions were when I first arrived. These are pictures I have taken over the past three years as a participant of the Portland Grid Project which explore the past and present. I'm trying to understand my nostalgia in a changed but familiar landscape.
