Artist Statement
I will always be influenced by my early years in China and my Italian art education. I explore colors instinctively and freely. I grasp what is about to float away, like the weather, changeable at any moment like the clouds floating on a day with the wind. A tree becomes a scale of B Flat Blues and Miles Davis and merges with emotional vision, as a series of photographs can have implication of an ancient and dark modal scale, imagined and only perceived. I launch my clouds as they float in the wind, for the past and for the future.
Artist Bio
Diana LoMeiHing was born in Hong Kong, she moved to Italy at the age of ten . Graduated with honors from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan. She has been profiled in the Catalog of Modern Art by Giorgio Mondadori Editori. Exhibited 10 photos in the year-long drawers exhibit at Blue Sky Gallery: April 2017 - April 2018. In 2019 exhibited in two-person exhibition Libreria Nazionale Braidense - Brera, Milano Italy. November-June 2020: Solo Exhibition of Paintings and Photographs at the Portland Chinatown Museum. Diana LoMeiHing works and exhibits paintings and photographic works between US and Italy.
