Image as exploration of memory, memory as exploitation of image, the photograph as melancholy & myth - a paradox of passage and perpetuation. The “decisive moment” remapped by a gesture. Rephotographing an image - becoming its own surveillance. A grid of decorative formalism to conduct the intimacy of technology, spirituality, nature, illusion, desire, imagination, dreams, family. A manipulation, deterioration enhancing an image that inherently preserves or to disguise with beauty. An image lacking in fantasy because it was of our time, when detached the pleasure of a fantasy that is not our own - the found. Being both hidden and visible - embodied in a photograph and in the feminine - it is from this place that my work emanates.
