“Creating art is one way of making sense of the world around us. The way we frame what is in front of us through the viewing screen or ground glass allows us to control the chaos of our perceptions. What we include and what we exclude provides a clue as to how we both see our reality and how we construct our reality. Living in a world of chaos and uncertainty, I use my photography to create views of peace and solitude by capturing scenes of balance and grace, whether or not that is the actual truth. By doing this, it becomes the personal truth of my experience.”
