Exhibition Committee

At the outset, Blue Sky’s five founders jointly organized its exhibitions – a curatorial model which has remained largely intact for more than three decades.

Today, Blue Sky exhibitions are curated by an expert, volunteer Exhibition Committee comprised of more than twenty highly qualified members of the organization. This curatorial methodology is in keeping with the democratic, participatory, and member-based mission of Blue Sky.

The Exhibition Committee meets weekly to review submissions, as well as to curate and install exhibitions prior to First Thursday openings. It is open to new participants and encourages active membership, participating in all facets of Exhibition Committee involvement at Blue Sky.

New members must attend a brief orientation session (offered on the second Tuesday of every month) before attending a regular meeting.
