Mars Observations

Craig Hickman is a serious artist who is funny. His recent work combines image and text in ways that build on traditions going back more than a hundred years to include the editorial cartoon, the cubist collage, dada experimentation with language, and the image-text artworks of the 1980's. However, Hickman's use of photographs and text is inspired more by play and poetry than by politics or polemics.
