Introduced in 2002, Blue Sky began distributing published photo books as a benefit of membership at the $75 and above level. Several times per year, Blue Sky members will receive these books, in addition to the Blue Sky catalogues. Past books sent to members include Lee Friedlander’s Staglieno, Simon Norfolk’s Afghanistan, and David Maisel’s The Lake Project, among aothers.

One goal of Blue Sky's programming is to find ways to create permanent records of the photography being produced, and to search out economical and easily distributable vehicles for this documentation with the potential to reach a broad and diverse base of people.

Blue Sky occasionally receives grant funding to produce monographs of some of the stellar artists Blue Sky exhibits. The Gallery recently published a trilogy of panorama monographs by Pentti Sammallahti, Wolf Bowig, and Lawrence McFarland. These books were distributed to current Blue Sky members.

Blue Sky publishes quarterly catalogues documenting each exhibit with photos and artist statements. These collectible books are sent only to current Blue Sky members. They include images from the most established, as well as emerging artists working in photography throughout the world.
