Artist
American Dreams by Victor Cobo is a complex, anthropological tour through
the landscape of the indigenous Central American – in memory, spirituality,
longing and isolation. The small-scale giclée prints created especially for
this exhibition illustrate one of the more invisible chapters in America’s
recent history book – the joys and sorrows in the daily lives of migrants as
they struggle for survival. Cobo hopes that this exhibition will connect
politicians and the public at large with the fundamental humanity shared
between then and the immigrants whose lives have become such political
playthings.
