"America — First People, New People, Forgotten People" is a collaboration among Scott Nava, Tom Jones, and Tone Stockenström, each offering a powerful and intimate view into places not normally seen. Side by side images and texts offer audiences the opportunity to be face to face with people often overlooked by our society.

First People — For the past four years Tom Jones has been photographing the tension that lays between the traditional and contemporary views within his tribe, The Ho Chunk Nation of Wisconsin. Tom is deeply committed to the responsibility of representing his people but also carrying forward an intimate inside view of a culture that has predominantly been documented by outsiders wishing to exoticize Native Americans.
