Blue Sky Gallery, 1231 NW Hoyt, is proud to present a lecture by Mark Ruwedel, of Long Beach, California, on Friday, October 4 at 7:30 pm at Blue Sky. The lecture is free and open to the public.

Ruwedel will be discussing his ongoing project, Pictures of Hell, a collection of images of Western landscapes named for the devil or hell. The series includes views of over 200 locations, and the subject of this work is not so much the particular landscapes depicted, but rather the relationships between landscapes and the names by which they are known.
