In Richard Ross's images, light becomes the subject and instrument to convey emotion and narrative. Ross uses light within interior spaces to reach out to viewers and draw them into his complex photographs. He writes, "I want to photograph spaces that are filled with light you can feel, weigh, taste—I want the viewer to lean into or shy away from my images."
