Artist
Konopka is a Polish artist living in Paris whose poetic black and white
images of Paris and Eastern Europe recall Atget in their attention to form,
detail, space and presentation. Almost still-life in quality, Konopka does
not use an enlarger to create his photos, instead all his photos are 8 x
10 contact prints from large negatives, staying true to his purist philosophy
toward photography.
